PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

AfriPRO Houston provides its membership and the at-large community with a variety of programming. Our programs and events fall into one of four categories: Community Outreach and Service, Professional Development and Educational Workshops, Fundraising Events, and Professional Networking.

Below, you'll find more information about our past events. Click here for information on our Planned Programs.

Community Outreach and Service
AfriPRO Houston supports the Census 2010 efforts
Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Join us on April 17th at 2p.m. during our April community service as we help increase the City of Houston's response rate to the census. Increasing Houston's response rate to the census improves the accuracy of the count and the possibility of receiving increased funding for the city's needs. During your time of service you will be reaching out to the Houston community by providing information that will motivate them to complete the census questionnaire. This will involve placing census material on neighborhood doors. Volunteers will first meet at the Sunnyside Park located at 3502 Bellfort Street and will be provided the necessary training before they are assigned a neighborhood.

RSVP Today! AfriPRO Houston - Census 2010

Each volunteers will receive an official AfriPRO Houston t-shirt!! T-shirt must be worn on the day of the event To request your shirt size, send an email with your name and size to communityservice@afriprohouston.org

We look forward to seeing you there.
