Objectives

AfriPRO Houston's objective is to fulfill its mission by:

-Organizing social and professional networking events;

-Fostering a stimulating and interactive environment for African professionals to grow in their local community;

-Encouraging professional excellence in the workplace by fostering individual development;

-Addressing the professional, cultural, and social issues that affect African professionals;

-Facilitating increased communication, interaction, and the exchange of ideas among African professionals, enabling them to learn new skills

and acquire knowledge from each other;

-Supporting and promoting in African professionals a sense of responsibility toward their communities and providing them with

opportunities to engage in charitable activities; and

-Promoting the cultural heritage of Africans and its relevance to a vibrant and multicultural America.

Honors and Awards

Our chapter has been awarded with several distinctions and honors, including the Silver Medal in the 2007 Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization Walk to Empower event and the Bronze Medal for the same event in 2006.
