Workshops and Speakers
The Language of Fashion
Image Artist Sarah Shah will lead us in a light-hearted and non-threatening exploration of the ways society judges our talents and character traits based on our image. Learn the "language of fashion" and how to project your personal message with what you wear.

About Sarah Shah
Sarah Shah is an Image Coach and TV Beauty Expert, helping women and fashion-conscious men navigate the world of image, judgement, and the media.

While working in corporate boardrooms, chemical plants, restaurants, research laboratories, and fashion shows, Sarah noticed how differently people are perceived and treated depending on the image they present. Instead of resisting that reality, Sarah learned to "speak" the language of fashion and translate it into successful images. Sarah uses this knowledge and experience to help women and men create images that communicate their authentic message and manage the reality of image and judgement.

Sarah works in Houston and Boston with individuals, teams, corporations and Industry clients. Representative services include: wardrobe, makeup, accessories, shopping, and TV. These services are delivered in personal appointments, workshops, and speeches.

Sarah is also a contributor to Great Day Houston on KHOU Channel 11 and other local TV shows around the US, a guest instructor at the Page Parkes Center For Modeling and Acting, and for the University of Houston Continuing Education.

Look for her book, Dress Yourself Skinny, coming Fall of 2008.

Health Talk
Hear from 4 professionals in the fields of general health, nutrition, vision, and pharmacy. Participants can ask general questions. The health professionals will be available for free consultations afterward.

About Ann Miller
Ann Miller founded Ann Miller Etiquette in 1984. She has a Masters degree in education and many years experience as an elementary school teacher. Although she enjoyed success as a public school teacher her dream was to open a school that would teach young people the skills necessary to conduct themselves properly and with ease in a variety of business and social environments. "Once I taught a group of students whose teacher had left them in mid-year. Not only were they heartbroken over his leaving but they exhibited low self-esteem. I encouraged them to believe in themselves, and they did. But, they also taught me something. They taught me to believe in my dream of starting this etiquette school."
